As a Campus Catalyst, you seek to catalyze and coordinate at least 72 hours of continual prayer on your campus in 2010, in coordination with Campus America Catalysts from other colleges and universities in your state.

Goals of a Campus CatalysT:

  1. Coordinates and catalyzes as much prayer as possible in 2010, including at least one season of unbroken prayer.
  2. Calls together a team of friends who will mobilize prayer (including students, but also wherever possible, staff and faculty, campus/church ministry leaders, and moms/dads).
  3. Connects to the Campus America movement in  state and in the nation.
  4. Communicates stories, events, encouragements and updates to the Campus America website and your campus Wiki page.

Key Qualities:

A Campus Catalyst “practices what they preach”, meaning they themselves are engaged in consistent prayer and action on their campus, inviting friends from all around to jump on-board.

A Campus Catalyst desires to see friendship and unity in Jesus’ Body on Campus and will extend the invitation to one and all – across organizational, denominational, and generational lines, including non-Christians too.

A Campus Catalyst is excited, energetic and accurate in communicating the vision and heart of united prayer and the Campus America story of God’s movement across America’s campuses.

A Campus Catalyst can identify and organize a band of diverse friends (or strangers!) on campus to help them plan and prepare a period of unbroken prayer on their campus, from vision-casting down to the details of getting approval for a prayer tent/room on campus and organizing the sign-up for people to pray, etc.
